Alter’s ARX-7 Arbalest

While I was doing my usual evening web-surfing at some of my frequent website, I stumbled upon this post from Furu Anime Panikku regarding ARX-7.

Behold! ARX-7 Arbalest from Alter

Just like Double from Furu Anime Panikku, I was beginning to lose hope of ever seeing an ARX-7 release after waiting for so long and seeing other people’s personal modified Arbalest kit. That was until I saw his post this evening. It brought me hope again but alas, the exorbitant price tag of 13,000Yen slapped on it by Alter would most likely stop me from getting it. In case if anyone is wondering, it would translate into roughly 174SGD or 125US dollar according to currency converter XE.com. Release date for this ARX-7 is scheduled for Summer 2008.

Hopefully, just like double, I’m hoping it’s a pricing error on Alter’s side.

What are your thoughts on this? Are you paying to get it? If so, are willing to pay this much for this ARX-7 kit?

*Update (26/12/08): Alter 1/60 ARX-7 Arbalest has been now set for May 2009 release.

    it's been announced that it'll be released on May 2009. Should be more or less firmed since HobbySearch is taking in preorders already.

    I would dish out the 125 bucks, but it all depends on the scale and articulation.

    Jacques, thanks for theses news, I hope the price of this kit will be lower too even if I think I could spend 125USD for it ^^ (well it's about loving FMP, money doesn't matter...)

    I also saw release date is july 2008, so we just have to be patient for the moment.

    I'm wondering if you know good websites to buy Alter's modelkit 'cause I'm living in France and there are not many shops selling this kind of products.
