Wanted: Feedbacks

My mind has been in a whirl lately; I seemed to have tried too hard getting everything done at the same time which backfired and resulted in not getting a single stuff done.
Back to the topic, I need some feedbacks from everyone. Well, as you can see I’ve changed into a new wordpress theme called ‘thematic’. With that being said, here comes a series of questions which I need your valuable feedback(s).
- As compared to the previous theme, which layout one is better?
- Is the content (reading text) on single post too narrow that you find them hard to read?
- Is the text hard to read?
- Are the images now too small? (they are now being resized to 375px)
- Is there anything that you wished to see in this blog?
- Any other feedbacks and suggestions that you wished to add that is not listed above?

Em…I think that it’s less convinient when it comes to reading the words at the right while the pictures squeezed in from the left at the beginning of the posts.
Maybe it’s because I’m used to the traditional style of reading text on the left or pictures in between paragraphs of words instead of side-by-side.
Pictures are smaller but it’s okay since it saves time on loading. XP
Theme-wise, this looks cool, though a bit on the dark side. It’d be nice if there was a bit bright colours to differenciate on sections of the page.
Sorry if I was too fussy. And ignored Hung about the grammar thing. I don’t see anything wrong there.

@Chris,
I must admit that having the reading text on the right is not very intuitive and user-friendly with everyone accustomed to reading from left to right. Plus, the empty space below seemed to be very wasteful.
I’m always caught in a dilemma myself wondering if the pictures are too small for viewing, since details might be lost when scaling down the overall picture.

I agree with you that my frequency of posting isn’t consistent and frequent. And the content I post about are not the latest, I must really think and review about the directions of this blog that it should take in the future. And so like you said, the theme is probably the last thing that I should worry about ans instead focus on something else better.

my content are not the freshest nor most exciting and probably will not ever be able to match places like Ngee Khiong and SRWhotnews, even if I emulate what they do, I feel that I’m nothing more than a parrot repeating the same stuff that they’ve already mentioned before.

I don’t know about Hung’s grammar part but I do know my English is not perfect or 100% correct. I realised that I something do talk gibberish in my post and also my inability to flesh out my thoughts in proper constructed sentences.
As for the icons, I’ll see if they can be improve. Else, I just have to look for other themes to fit these needs.

Point no.1 noted, will make the necessary color change if I decided to keep this theme. Yeah, the post box isn’t prominent enough. I had the same probably when I first started using it too. ^^’
Point 2; very true. I don’t have very much to post about about to talk. Wonder if there’s any new directions which I can take.\

You hardly post….when you do…is hardly anything new. In such case, the theme is hardly the most important thing you should be thinking about.
Is probably better to prioritize so that you can at least complete something instead of on able to complete anything.

Agreed with above post about not having regular new contents. I only visit here since you are a link from Ngee Khiong. But I usually do not see things that interest me here. Maybe you should check out Ngee Khiong, SRWhotnews, Gundam Guy, Danny Choo..etc These guys post more regularly.

Fist thing, change the color of the site, It took me 5 minutes to find where the post box is(especialy for bad eyesite)

I prefer a single column type layout in the posts.
For this double column layout the unused space under the picture of the left column feels awkward to me.
Can read the text fine as it contrasts with the black blackground.

I guess, one of a quick way is to make a poll. 800px – 1024px width for a blog is ok. There might be reader who their computer screen resolution is smaller. Perhaps checking ur visitor stats, on which is the majority web browser used by ur visitors. One step at a time, a subdomain perhaps as a beta testing site for us to compare.
