psp_slim.jpgBrian over at Kotaku has been fiddling with the PSP Slim that he has just received and did a quick post up on some of the differences he’d noticed in the settings.

Below are reports of his findings:

The game(though he mentioned game, I’ve a feeling he was trying to say the console) ships with firmware 3.60 preloaded on the system. Lots of menu differences and he found two in the system menu.

UMD Cache: Possible to reduce the frequency at which the system reads from the UMD.
USB Charge: An alternatice to charge via USB instead of an A/C.

New menu in ‘Settings’ that provide options for when you connect your PSP to your television to either play games or watch a movie.

-Connected Display settings-
Switch Video Output: Use to display video on the television or you can hold in the display button.
TV Type: 16:9 or 4:3
Component /D-Terminal Cable: Select either progressive or interlace output.
Screensaver: Allows timeout for a screensaver to be set from none to 15 minutes.
