AkibaHobby gets his hands on the First Grade Exia and took detailed photos on the assembly process. Being the FG, it really is a budget kit. heck, they even printed the assembly instructions on the interior of the box.
Here comes the plus point first;
-Default colors of the kit does looks decent enough that no much paint is actually required.
-And the hands and leg joints are bendable and poseable.
Now to the minus point;
-The vents at the chest looks mis-aligned in the close up shot from the front view.
-It looks even worse when a full body length shot was taken, the proportion of the model looks awfully wrong. Notice in the image below that the arms actually reaches knee level when straighten? Makes it look more like an ape or gorilla to me.
Nonetheless, being an FG kit I guess one should’nt expect to much either. However, it does seems an ideal kit for someone who’s just gotten into modeling since the kit is cheap. A great chance for them to try out and some hands-on on the different modeling techniques.
