Images of the upcoming 1/100 Avalanche Exia in July.
Despite the fact that the Exia is being designed to be a agile and close-combat, the add-ons (on the shoulders) on the Avalanche Exia seems to go against the mech’s original design intention. The add-ons just seems a tad too bulky and in the way for fast-paced action that the Exia was designed to be.
Although there has been special exception like, the Altiesen from the Super Robot Taisen (or Super Robot Wars) - Original Generation.

yea I kinda agree on that. hopefully, they dun over-milk it like what they’ve done with Strike Gundam. way way too much in my opinion.
