Introducing Revoltech No.59, Full Metal Panic! - ARX-8 Laevatein!
Oddly enough, the 2 above poses by ARX-8 Laevatein hasn’t been able to stop people from thinking of SRW OG - DGG-XAM2 Ausenseiter. My guess is the hair/tail (whichever it should be call) from the head and 165mm Multi-purpose Demolition Howitzer that’s it carrying has some similarity to thr Ausenseiter.
Some background information regarding the ARX-8 Laevatein for those who are curious about its origin.
The ARX-8 Laevatein was designed by AI after ARX-7’s destruction at the hands of Leonard Testarossa’s Belial. Mithril’s special agent “Wraith” managed to salvage its AI unit and Lambda Driver system. And together with the aid of the remnants of the Mithril, ARX-8 Laevatein was born, a whole-new Arm Slave that would completely suit Sousuke’s habit in battle.
Since it doesn’t belong to Mithril’s regular design, it did not follow the tradition of naming after medieval weapons (ARX-6 Halberd and ARX-7 Arbalest). Instead, it was named after a legendary sword in Norse mythology, the Laevateinn.
Laevatein seen completed at the end of the novel ‘Burning One Man Force’, and delivered to Sousuke during the 8th novel, where in the first combat against the Amalgam forces in the events of ‘Get Together and Make My Day’, the ARX-8 Laevatein single-handedly took down 3 Behemoth units and 3 Codarl units within 5 minutes and 52 seconds.

ain’t too sure if it’s the first, anyone who knows could fill us in on this one? It seemed to be the first to be released but I could be wrong about.

There was an announcement made by Alter to release a ARX-7 slated to be release in this Summer. But with summer about to end, we still haven’t see any updates or confirmation date from Alter on when the ARX-7 is to be released. The kit pretty expensive, cost about USD125.

@lightmirage: there was one of the ARX-7 sometime back, but i think it cost quite a lot… it’s not revoltech, if i remember correctly.

I’m drooling all over the place, this thing gets in within 5 miles of me, it’s so bought.
