This new & information posted below is aimed at local model hobbyists in Singapore.
The 1st local Scale Modeling Club has officially begin it operations, there will be an Open House for public to visit and the members of Katoots are Invited to come over to the Open House event.
Scale Modeling Club ( S.M.C ) is under the wing of PA and operating at Kampong Glam Community Club. S.M.C has been set up for one main purpose; It is to expose scale modeling as a Hobby to the public and have a fixed workshop located in the heartland centre where members can readily access the workshop via any locations in Singapore.
The Community Club can be reach via MRT or Buses. Membership is open for registration on that day with Discount Vouchers by M-Workshop.

There will be “live” demo on model kit building, showcasing of current completed model kits & cosplayers cosplaying as characters in the Gundam Universe, etc.
S.M.C has announced that the club is officially taking over the Gundam Model Kit from Sty’s Workshop as from today and many thanks for all the hardwork and effort Sty’s Workshop has put in all these years in supporting the local scale modeling communities.
S.M.C will provide the event space , halls, theater that will hold all the upcoming Gundam Model Kit meet and the next Clash of the Titans Modeling Competition scheduled next year March. Now there is a solid 6 to 8 months to prepare for your solid, mod frenzy, resin conversion, Kit Bash and Mega Diorama set up and brace yourself for the clash of the Titans at the March Modeling Competition nexy year.
S.M.C welcomes everyone on the 13th of July 2008.

I can drop by the event but unfortunately, I don’t own a digital camera myself hence I’m unable to take photos on the event despite wanting to.
Nonetheless, I’ll do my best to look for pictures & articles and post up links that did the coverage on the event on the blog so that, everyone will not miss them out.

This event sounds absolutely awesome o_o
would it be too much to ask for you to umm bring the best camera you have and be the eyes for those of us who don’t live in Singapore? ^^;;
