Leaks of official information Gundam 00 season 2.

Setsuna F. Seiei
21-years-old. Lived as a boy soldier in his native Kurdish and became a Gundam Meister with Celestial Being. Engaged in one-on-one combat with Graham in a final battle. Went missing. 4 years after, what does he think of as he looks at the world without conflict the Earth Sphere Federation ushered in?
Lockon Stratos
29-years-old. Expert marksman and Gundam Meister affiliated with Celestial Being. 4 years ago, he and his bitter enemy Saachez shot each other simultaneously and (*unreadable portion*) This Lockon (*unreadable*) heads to the battlefield together with his partner Haro and, as a Gundam Meister, pilots the Keldim Gundam.

24-years-old
Tieria Erde
Age unknown. Seriously injured in the decisive final battle in which he flew the Gundam Nadleeh but he was rescued by an organization and his life saved. Afterwards, he did his best to rebuild Celestial Being. Previously, he had thought of Veda as an absolute being but now he looks for the meaning of his personal struggle.

GN-0000 00 Gundam
New generation Gundam developed as a successor unit to the Gundam Exia. A formidable mecha equipped with 2 GN Drives on its shoulders, it boasts astounding GN particle emission and its performance overwhelms that of all other mobile suits. Pilot: Setsuna F. Seiei
Keldim Gundam (Dynames upgrade?)
Arios Gundam (Kyrios upgrade?)
Selavii Gundam (Virtue MK2?)
A heavy armament model piloted by Tieria Erde that largely carries over features of the Gundam Virtue. Furthermore, it was developed with the intent of strengthening offense and while the 2 shoulder-equipped GN cannons are simple in form, their firepower far exceeds the Virtue’s.
Info via Kouryaku No Yakata’s Newtype summaries:
- The second season will revolve around an independent security enforcement organization within the Federation called “Arrows” that suppresses anti-Federation elements.
- Setsuna will take on a leadership role.
- Most people aren’t aware of the severe oppression of Arrows due to the Federation’s complete control of information.
- Lockon died and isn’t coming back.
- Season 2 will air in MBS’ Sunday 5 pm timeslot starting in October.
So it turned out true that 2 GN-cores are really mounted on the shoulders. And no doubt that it’s Lockon we’re seeing right now, it’s most definitely that it’s his twin brother in his place. Remember ‘Lockon’ is just a code name. The design for the new mechs looked fine except for Keldim Gundam, it looks real ugly to me. Anyone else sharing the same sentiment at the 1st look at it?

Yes, these names that we previously kept mentioning were rough assumption of how the actual names were spelled in English after translating them from Japanese. Now that the official site has updated them with the actual names as you mentioned, we’ll refer them to these instead.

yeah, the giant gundam face remains the biggest mystery . I hope they can give us a satisfactory answer in the near future.

I guess it’ll take some time for us all to get used to it. So far in the anime, it definitely looks somewhat better to what we were introduced initially.

I could be wrong, but if you do a search on the Selavii Gundam, there is a gundam face on its back. Are they designed to be able to merge/combine to form a bigger gundam?? Or else I can’t understand why they made the other 3 gundams so ugly……..

sigh….i absolutely hate keldim’s ankle. It looks like his foot got totally cut off and just cut and pasted back on and he doesn’t look like he can run at all lol.

if you seen the HG 144 00 Gundam, you’ll be impressed. It’s one hell of a kit with the ability to do dynamic poses not possible with older models.

i agree that they all look very angular, except 00 Gundam & Arios which looks good with that ‘angular’ approach. Hopefully, they’ll look better in anime

I share the same sentiment with you. 00 & Ario, then Seravee, & keldim last. Dynames was much better.

yup. definitely less on the details this time round as compared to the 1st season.

that’s the messy part. some say it’s the former like you mention while others say vice-versa. The magazine interview with the director does seem to clear up that part except I’m can’t remember after reading it some time ago. Anyone can clarify on this?
The rifle seems to be foldable or formed from 2 parts this time round, I’m not very sure of this, maybe because of it’s not so attractive design, put me off to pay more attention to its details.

I would recommend that you hold off your purchases till all the model kits for 00 are out if you’re no in a hurry. Otherwise, you might regret on later as I did in the past from my own personal experience.

nah it would hell better if lockon was back but didn’t his entire family get killed in germany or something
heard theres a new exia model based on this series
and i was thinking of getting the models too….too bad theres gonna be upgrades for each one
the new dynames looked dreadful…..come on the core isnt even circle and most of it is squarish shaped and its only holding one pistol…what ever happened to “sniping it down”

i didn’t see the new dynames (keldim gundam) equipped with a sniper rifle, could it be mounted on its back?

i think i remembered seeing an episode where lockon pays visit to his parents with flower at graveyard, seeing flowers already offered and mentioned something like ‘he was here too?’ while his twin hid behind the trees.

Setsuna looks mature, 30’s mature, mind you not early 20’s mature. Allelujah looks a bit different, but I can’t place my finger on it. Lockon (v.2) looks…bigger. Tieria looks unchanged.
The mech designs aren’t too bad. 00 looks okay, and so does Arios. I’m on the fence about Seravee, but Cherudim looks like crap.
The big question of Season 2: What Gender Is Tieria?

The only thing that looks good is Gundam-00 itself ONLY. I think the original designs are better, especially those spheres in their chests. The worst unit? Cherudim Gundam. I mean like c’mon, look at them… I think Gundam 00 would be better if its just the usual Exia design with the 2 GN-Drives at its shoulders… Sheesh!~

What’s with Keldim’s ankle?? The new mechs look more angular than their predecessors. I hope it’s just a “draft” version. The skirt/waist armors look better now though.

Selavii’s appearance almost seems like a downgrade compared to Virtue.. much like when I first saw the designs of the Season one fab four, of which I only liked Kyrios and Excia, I kinda like Arios and the 00 but the other two will probably grow on me when I see then in action. Much like Virtue and Dynames did.
