With Bandai’s 1/72 Macross Frontier VF-25F just release recently, I now present you all with photographs of the assembled kit.
Fighter Mode

Gerwalk Mode

Battroid Mode

Sometimes I wonder if I’m the only oddball out there that thinks Gerwalk mode looks the best & most appealing.
I’m not gonna jump the gun and purchase this. Instead, I’m gonna wait and see if Bandai releases an Ozama’s VF-25 and an armored-pack version VF-25. See what Bandai has done previously with Gundam, I would’nt be surprised if they released alternate version of the same kit.
Enough of my own ramblings, now is your turn to have your say. Amongst the the 3 different modes; fighter, gerwalk & battroid, which one is the one that you like most? Which is your favourite and which one is the one you dislike most? And are you gonna wait for alternate version or jump the gun and purchase this kit?

@Eric,
sorry for the delay. After some researching, I’ve found out that this 1/72 scale model is roughly 18cm tall. I hope that this piece of info will help you in your purchase.
@beck,
I might consider holding back on this purchase and wait for the version that comes equipped with the “fast pack” (i think that’s what these armor/boosters packs are called right?) instead.
@amduron,
I’m sure that these armored/booster packs will come eventually, given Bandai’s habit of releasing different variations of the same mech, for example, like what they did to Strike Gundam.

How big is this model kit, compared to MG 1/100 gundam? I want to get this model, but i don’t want to get a small kit.

can’t hardly wait for the ozma’s version, is there any possibilities that these kits will be packed with boosters/armored version? sure they will be killers to previous macross mechas, ~sigh~

i’m also very lucky. just got this kit yesterday and already started to do the nose of the jet-fighter. and my set is also the last one in the stores. at the time of my visit to the store to get this item, there’s another person trying to begged the store owner to let the kit go to him. but luckily i already booked it on the phone before going to the shop…
cant wait for it to finish and shoot some pics of it…
and the next kit is also a must get…

@amduron,
you’re definitely very lucky to get one. I have heard many people missing out on the VF-25F due to low stock & HLJ’s stock is sold out.
congratulations on your purchase
