With the results of the Singapore Bandai Action Universal Cup 2008 to be announced in another week at AFA 2008, I bring you all a sneak peek at some of the participating entries in the competition that caught my eye. Shortlisted entries will get a chance to be sent to Hong Kong to take part in the finals, held in conjunction with the annual Gundam Expo. A very nicely done MG Shin Musha mod; complete with realistic bow & arrows, plus steed (courtesy of SRW Aussenseiter in Pferd mode ) Shin Musha mod viewed from another angle. The V-fin is replaced with Dygenguar’s MG Qubeley [evolved type] by Toymaker This Destiny Gundam monument by Kyori is also another fav. Do also check out his Freedom Gundam, the 1st one of the monument series which he started. Exia - Black Soul from Pazu This clean-looking Exia has great detail too, pity there’s no photo of it from another angle. Someone reproduced this Conversion kit: Armored Gundam Exia , which was previously covered in Hobby Japan. This Strike Freedom’s pose struck upon me as odd-looking from this camera angle. Seemed to be saying, “oh crap! I messed it up again” (No offense to the contestant who submitted this) The famous “Char kick” Gundam style - Anyone can identify the Gundam in the above pic? Is it a Re-GZ in another color scheme? This 2 H’gok trashing the GM (above & bottom) Hy’gogg are my favourite diorama. The in-sequence action is accurately & realisticly reproduced in gunpla form. Perfect Zeong Candid moment of SD Sangokuden, Ryuubi Gundam & Koumei Re-GZ having BBQ Strike Noir This V2 Gundam bust is my personal favorite. My only wish is that Bandai will eventually release a Master Grade version for it soon enough. Almost every series has its protagonist Gundam released in MG form, with the only exception V & V2 Gundam (and of course the recently released Gundam 00).
