Black RX-0 Unicorn Gundam ‘Banshee’

Spotted this Black RX-0 Unicorn Gundam Banshee on Winterheim’s blog when I dropped by his place today. This is not an official Bandai MG RX-0 Unicorn Gundam “Banshee”, contrarily to what you might think when you first saw the post title. In fact, this Banshee is instead a mod from the Master Grade Unicorn Gundam. Possibly, the most accurately re-produced gunpla version of the Banshee I’ve seen so far. Pity though, there doesn’t seemed to be any available pictures of it “normal mode”.

Or do you see areas for improvement which would make it even better? Any chances of you purchasing a Black RX-0 Unicorn Gundam ‘Banshee’ when Bandai eventually releases one?

    It was sold for 68,000 Yen.

    Equal to around 700 US Dollars.

    Yum. A piece worth buying, no? Lol. :D

    @Blade,
    wow, didn’t know that it was put up for auction. The guy sure netted himself quite a hefty profit to get more kits to work on. Thanks for sharing. :)

    @gordon, @Martin Wandering,
    The black & gold sure complement each other very well, in fact, it’s better than the original white & pink. Definitely a beauty.

    @Mark,
    thank, just want share the great news with everyone.

    I got more used to the ‘exploding armour’ style of the original Unicorn, but black and gold do go well together.

    @Yen

    Are you sure that one is the same one as this one?

    Just asking, because that one has decals, yet this one doesn’t and their one has modded v-fin.

    @Blade, @ Yen,
    I agree with Blade there, doesn’t seemed to be the same model despite similar color scheme.

    @Q,
    black and gold actually go quite well together, as long as the gold ain’t the gloss finish on the Gold Frame Amastu.

    wow… i’ll go with Black- Clear red instead of Gold… or Black- Clear Orange/Yellow…

    this one looks like a makeover of Gundam X, with all it’s reflector… :p

    nonetheless, if BANDAI ever gonna release this beast, i’ll DEFINITELY buy one !!

    so… let’s just wait and see… :) God help us…

    it was sold for 68,000 Yen..wow the price is like a perfect grade gundam..do you think it worth for it..

  12. Jacques says:

    @kira yamato,

    Indeed, I’m quite certain it’s the very same Unicorn except with a different color scheme.

    I personally don’t believe the price is worth it unless I’m really loaded with lots of cash to spare

    it can't turn into unicorn mode because.. well just look at the horns there are too many

    thanks for the insight. After looking at it again, I realised that even if it could turn in unicorn mode, the v-fins would not be able to close up entirely since the surfaces are not flat.
