@samejima, @evolution,
thanks for the compliment, almost done with it. Should be able to post pictures of the completed model by today or tomorrow.

@samejima,
yeah i agree, the finish with the AB is really great. I tried hand-brushing with this kit also but did not turn out as well. You will be able to see how bad the hand-brush job was when I post the completed photos.

@evolution,
saw your W.I.P with 00 Gundam, the customization of sawing the waist into half and then adding a movable waist joint was great. Kudos to you & thumb ups for your efforts there. Will be a great reference for others who intend to implement a movable waist portion to their 00 Gundam kit.

Hang in there! I'm building a 00 Gundam too (but in 1/100 scale) and it's my first time using an airbrush to paint the model. All the best in completing yours!

Looks really nice when used with airbrush... wish I had the basic skills to do that.

@Blade, @deathscythe,@Q,
thank you all for the kind words and encouragement. Will attempt to finish it up soon and share with you guys the fruit of my labor.

@Blade,
even as of now, while in the midst of this project, I do wonder to myself whether it is really worth all the time and effort to do so much to a SD kit. I am still not so sure after almost completing it

@deathscythe,
using an airbrush ain't as hard as you thought it out to be. The bottomline is, if you're comfortable enough with spray cans, you should do fine with an AB. But do be prepared to spend quite a fortune when you start out initially. And if do get an AB, get a double action AB plus a compressor along with it, compressed air cans are useless and not recommended at all.

@Q,
I also sometimes feel lazy to do paint, primarily because I'm spraying in my own bedroom and it isn't really good for health, plus it dirties the room with lots of cleaning to do thereafter. Still sourcing around for a good exhaust fan to suck the vapors,etc out of my room while I do AB. When that's achieved, I should be able to do AB'ing on a more frequent basis as compared to now.

We learn from our mistakes, don't we? There's a lot of good work there, and completion isn't far away. You've made good progress there; I'm too lazy to paint or do any coating :P Keep it up!
